Collaborative development: Industrial experiences and needs for further research

This short paper describes briefly results from industrial and literature survey about collaborative software development. The work done is part of the MERLIN project, an ITEA project lasting from July 2004 to June 2007. The Merlin consortium [1] consists of both research and industrial partners. The industrial partners represent several divergent embedded SW business areas: telecommunications, IT services, and consumers’ products, for example.
